Healthcentric Advisors, in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, held a webinar on Tuesday February 4, 2020 to explore the current threat of multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs).
This no-cost webinar focused on the increasing incidence of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae in long-term care facilities in Massachusetts.
Speakers shared an example of a local facility-based outbreak and provided the most up-to-date infection control recommendations and resources for management of MDROs in long-term care.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants are able to:
- Define carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) and other important MDROs
- Discuss the current epidemiology and burden of MDROs in Massachusetts
- Review infection prevention and control recommendations, including the use of Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP)
- Access MDRO and infection control resources and support
