HealthCentric Advisors is proud to announce our collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and Department of Public Health (DPH) on their newly released toolkit, ‘Strategies for Supporting Residents with Opioid Use Disorder in Long-Term Care.’
As key development partner, HealthCentric Advisors provided comprehensive support throughout the toolkit’s development, including extensive educational content development, project management, and implementation guidance. The toolkit represents a significant step forward in standardizing and improving OUD care in long-term care settings across Connecticut, equipping facilities with evidence-based, practical strategies for delivering trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care to residents with opioid use disorder (OUD).
The toolkit’s comprehensive framework includes:
- Evidence-based stigma reduction strategies and implementation guides
- Detailed staff training resources and competency tools
- Clinical best practices for harm reduction approaches
- Comprehensive guidelines for establishing and maintaining community partnerships
DMHAS and DPH will host a webinar on January 22, 2025, featuring an in-depth overview of the toolkit and implementation strategies for long-term care facilities.
