Healthcentric Advisors is proud to announce that our colleague, Emily Patry, has successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Clinical and Economic Outcomes of Cutaneous Melanoma: A Real World Analysis” for her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a concentration in health outcomes, from the University of Rhode Island.

Emily’s journey in public health began after completing her undergraduate degree when she served with AmeriCorps VISTA at AIDS Care Ocean State, helping to launch and manage their viral Hepatitis C testing program. Her dedication to public health research continued at The Miriam Hospital’s Center for AIDS Research, where she worked for over a decade on qualitative research projects involving HIV, Hepatitis C, and justice-involved populations.
These experiences inspired Emily to pursue advanced education, first earning a master’s degree in pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics at the University of Rhode Island under Dr. Stephen Kogut’s advisement, before continuing to her doctoral studies under the advisement of Dr. Ami Vyas, PhD.
Since joining Healthcentric Advisors in April 2022, Emily has been an invaluable member of our data analysis team, supporting quality improvement initiatives in nursing homes and hospital healthcare-associated infection reporting. Her expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and her experience with advanced analytic techniques across large datasets continue to strengthen our organization’s work.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Emily Patry on this significant academic achievement! We are fortunate to have her expertise and dedication contributing to our mission of improving healthcare quality and delivery.
