Will serve as the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) contractor to provide support to the PTN awardees in New England
Providence, RI (January 21, 2016) — The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently awarded $4.5 million to Healthcentric Advisors, to serve as the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) contractor for New England.
The new funding, awarded under Healthcentric Advisors’ New England Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) five-year master contract, is for the performance of adjunct work to support the Practice Transformation Network (PTN) programs in the region – Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Healthcentric Advisors, with support from its subcontractor Qualidigm, is tasked with collaborating and teaming with PTNs in performing practice assessments, supporting learning and diffusion activities and assisting in engaging practices and clinicians in TCPI/PTN goals. The overall goal is to drive practice transformation by implementing quality improvement strategies among primary care and specialty care practices.
Healthcentric Advisors will provide support for recruitment, assessment and coordination of practices engaged by the PTNs working in the six New England states. Additionally, Healthcentric Advisors will work directly with 343 practices across the six states, assisting with baseline and follow-up practice assessments.
“This award, on the part of CMS, acknowledges the QIN-QIO contractors’ experience and expertise in physician office practice transformation. Healthcentric Advisors brings 20 years’ experience working with practices to improve the quality and efficiency of care. The TCPI award further builds upon the work taking place under the QIN-QIO contract, allowing us to share efficiencies and expertise with the PTN contractors,” said H. John Keimig, President & CEO of Healthcentric Advisors. “We look forward to building lasting relationships with the PTN contractors as we support their efforts.”
