Thomas Izzo has been appointed Chair of the Healthcentric Advisors Board of Directors. He is a former Rhode Island Senator of 14 years, having served from 1988 to 2002. Izzo also served as Chair of the Committee on Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) , and served on both HEW and the Committee on Finance throughout his tenure. He served three terms as the Senate representative on the RI Board of Governors for Higher Education, chairing the Committee on Academic and Student Affairs. Prior to serving in the Senate, he held various positions in the public education system for 32 years until retiring in 1997. Currently, Izzo serves on the Rhode Island Board of Education where he was appointed to the Council on Postsecondary Education, serves as the Community Chair of the RI Global Waiver Implementation Task Force, and is a member of Coastal Medical’s ACO Advisory Committee. He holds an Undergraduate degree in education from Rhode Island College and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.
Stephen Zubiago, Esq. has been appointed Vice Chair of the Healthcentric Advisors Board of Directors. He is a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP, where he serves as head of the Business and Finance Department and is also a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He holds Bar memberships in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The focus of his practice lies within the healthcare industry representing a range of health care providers. He has been recognized within the legal community numerous times, most recently for Best Lawyers’ 2014 Providence Health Care Law “Lawyer of the Year.” Zubiago holds a bachelor of arts in Political Science from Brown University and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University.
Claire Iacobucci, CPA has been appointed Treasurer of the Healthcentric Advisors Board of Directors. She is a Shareholder and the Director of Audit and Quality Control at Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co. (KLR). Claire routinely interacts with the financial community, clients and KLR staff on technical and complex financial reporting matters. Iacobucci received her Bachelor of Science in accounting and management information systems from the University of Rhode Island and currently sits on the URI Accounting Advisory Board. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). She is currently a Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) steering committee member of the Accounting and Auditing and the Employee Benefit Plan committees.
Diana Franchitto has been appointed Secretary of the Healthcentric Advisors Board of Directors. She is the President & CEO of Home Care & Hospice of New England, and its affiliates, Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island and Visiting Nurse Home Care. Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island is also the major teaching affiliate for hospice and palliative medicine of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Franchitto has nearly 30 years in senior leadership health care positions in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and in addition to serving on several local health care boards, she is a board member of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation in Washington, DC. Franchitto earned her Master of Business Administration and undergraduate degrees from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
