Providence, RI (November 17, 2014) – Healthcentric Advisors, a Rhode Island based non-profit, has opened satellite offices in Woburn, MA and Brunswick, ME to meet the needs of stakeholders in Massachusetts and Maine and expand its presence and footprint across New England.
The announcement follows Healthcentric Advisors recent award of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) contract for the six New England states-Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Healthcentric Advisors, in partnership with Qualidigm, a Connecticut-based, quality improvement organization is administering the five-year QIN-QIO contract under the New England QIN-QIO brand. While overseeing work for the entire six-state region, Healthcentric Advisors will focus its efforts in Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island and Qualidigm in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont. Qualidigm is also in the process of opening offices in New Hampshire and Vermont.

Thirteen Healthcentric Advisors associates are working in the Massachusetts office located at 500 West Cummings Park, Woburn, supporting hospitals, home health agencies, physician offices and long-term care facilities in Medicare quality initiatives.
Seven associates are working in the Maine office located at 14 Maine St., Brunswick offering the same level of support to Maine stakeholders. Healthcentric Advisors has also added four additional associates to its Rhode Island office.

The New England QIN-QIO, administered by Healthcentric Advisors in partnership with Qualidigm, is working across New England on strategic initiatives such as reducing health care associated infections, reducing readmissions and medication errors, working with nursing homes to improve care for residents, supporting clinical practices in using interoperable health information technology to coordinate care, promoting prevention activities, reducing cardiac disease and diabetes, reducing health care disparities and improving patient and family engagement. The partnership will also provide technical assistance for improvement in CMS value based purchasing programs, including the physician value-based modifier program.
