On Monday, July 29th, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released three proposed payment rules:
Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) payment systems; Physician Fee Schedule; and proposed changes to the Medicare payment rules for Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS), End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS), and the ESRD Quality Incentive Program (QIP).
In an effort to insure stakeholders across New England are aware of the proposed rules and how to provide comments, the CMS New England Regional Office will provide a brief overview of the three provision, along with details on how to provide comments.
Leading the call will be Ray Hurd, Deputy Consortium Administrator for the Consortium for Health Plans Operations (CMHPO) and Regional Administrator for CMS Regions 1 and 2.
