RI-GWEP Geriatrics ECHO Training Program

RI-G ECHO is a virtual online learning community offered at no cost to:

  • Share specialized knowledge on the care of older adults
  • Create a shared space for teams of providers to exchange information, experiences, cases, and ideas on how to improve care for older adults
  • Help providers in caring for challenging patients

This program was geared towards primary care interdisciplinary team members (physicians, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers). Each session was 60-minutes and focused on improving care of older adults.

Specifically, ECHO participants learned ways to encourage caregiver support, goals of care conversations, polypharmacy and medication management, changing behavior to reduce fall risk, community resources, and screening for dementia.
